In this private half-day tour, we visit Athens highlights around the city center with comfortable transportation and carefully planned stops.
Our route begins in central Athens with the city's neoclassical trilogy: the Academy of Athens, the University of Athens, and the National Library. These landmarks reflect the intellectual and architectural identity of modern Greece and make excellent first photo stops.
We continue to the Panathenaic Stadium, the only stadium in the world built entirely from marble and home of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. From there, we pass the Hellenic Parliament at Syntagma Square and the Zappeion area, a key site in the modern Olympic revival.
The tour also covers the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum area, where ancient Athens meets modern city life. If you wish, we can add one extra hour of shopping in Plaka for +€50 before returning to your hotel.
