Delphi and Meteora

Explore the best of Central Greece in this three-day tour to Delphi and Meteora. Meteora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most extraordinary rock formations in central Greece, hosting one of the largest and most precipitously built complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries, second in importance only to Mount Athos.

The six monasteries are built on immense natural pillars and rounded boulders that dominate the local area, creating one of the most dramatic religious landscapes in Europe.

In Delphi, we visit the famous ancient sanctuary that grew rich as the seat of Pythia, the oracle consulted for important decisions throughout the classical world. Besides the sanctuary, we also visit the Museum of Delphi, which houses rich collections of architectural sculpture, statues, and smaller offerings dedicated to the site.
